My experimental video is called memories and I filmed Horsham park as I walked through, the reason is called memories is because the space means something to me and a selection of activities have happened in the area. My video didn't go to plan because the weather had a big effect on video because I was planning on filming when it was sunny but unfortunately it rained throughout the filming time we had. I did luckily manage to film it in the end without it raining but the weather was still cloudy and grey. I wasn't able to stick to the idea I had because I was meant to have people in my video but they weren't able to turn up so I had to change my plan slightly and have it without people. To improve my idea next time I will spend a bit more preparing for it and if I was to decide to film outside I will make sure the weather is suitable and also find a steadier path because the video turned out slightly shaky from the unsteady path. I will also make sure I have an alternative plan just in case.
Importing the footage went pretty well the only problem was my footage took a while to upload because I had to change the camera because the macs couldn't read the footage on the original camera but I after I changed the camera it uploaded without any further problems. After I installed all my footage I edited it which went pretty well, I needed some help on how to fit some parts of my video together but apart from that it turned out OK. I then added my animations and burnt the footage on to a disk.
The installation production didn't go as planned because I had to change where people viewed my video because the weather prevented me from being able to show it outside like planned. As an alternative I showed people my experimental video in one of the class rooms at the college. I did get a lot of good feedback about my video in the questionnaires that were answered. Most people got the concept of my video and gave me really good comments. They were mainly pleased with the location of my video and the music and how the film was sped up. I did also get some bad feedback but I expected there to be some bad comment because the video didn't go as planned. A couple of people didn't enjoy the music and pointed out that the photo's weren't obvious enough and that the camera was a bit unsteady. overall I was pleased with the positive and negative feedback I got it will help me to produce a better video in the future.
